Glass Sculptures for Monuments: UAB “Akrolita” is the sole, official representative of “Glasstone” glass sculptures in Lithuania

When a Memorial Becomes a Work of Art

When the desire arises to create something more than a traditional monument, space opens up for art, light, and a personal story. UAB “Akrolita” is the sole official representative of “Glasstone” glass sculptures in Lithuania, offering the opportunity to incorporate unique works of art created in Latvia into custom-designed monuments and grave site designs.

“Glasstone” – a glass sculpture created as a memorial

The “Glasstone” studio, based in Latvia and founded by glass sculptor Ernests Vītiņš (Ernest Vitin), specializes in creating unique layered-glass memorial sculptures. Each of their works is created as an individual work of art—from the initial idea and form to the final glass composition.

The sculptures are created by joining and shaping individual layers of glass. The transparent glass, its edges, fractures, and the light refracting at different angles lend the work depth and an ever-changing character. As a result, such a monument can appear differently at various times of the day, as the sun moves, or throughout the changing seasons.

In addition, great attention is paid to the proper selection of glass, its processing, and high-quality lamination technology. Properly crafted glass works are fully suited for and safe to use outdoors, and their maintenance is certainly not complicated.

Glass and Granite – A Unique Composition

The “Akrolita” team can harmonize a custom-made glass piece with granite, the shape of the monument, the proportions of the grave site, and other design elements. This creates a cohesive composition in which sturdy natural stone and light-transmitting glass complement each other.

This is a solution for people who are looking for a unique, subtle, and one-of-a-kind memorial that can not only commemorate a person’s life story but also convey their personality, hobbies, character, or symbolism important to their family.

From Concept to Completed Monument in Lithuania

When you choose our company, there’s no need to coordinate the production of the glass sculpture in Latvia and the installation of the monument in Lithuania separately. We coordinate the entire process—from your vision and the monument’s design to the integration of the glass sculpture and the final installation of the gravesite.

We approach each project individually, because we believe that a monument should be just as unique as the person in whose memory it is created.

Do you have an idea for a unique monument?

Contact us—we’ll introduce you to the possibilities of the glass sculptures created by “Glasstone,” and together we’ll design a custom solution in which stone, glass, light, and memory come together as a single harmonious whole.
